Film: In an extract from a Mind and Life conference hosted by HH the Dalai Lama in Dharamsala in 2016, both he and Matthieu Ricard (a French monk in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition), speak with scientists about reincarnation or rebirth.
On a session devoted to the subject of consciousness, the point is made that a Buddhist meditator can become aware of various levels of mind: both gross and subtle. They then refer to the subtle level of mind as a never-ending mind stream which carries an imprint of a previous life over to a future life.
The film runs for approximately fifty minutes and will be followed by discussion and tea.
