Dharma Read: But it’s not just thoughts that distract us.

But it’s not just thoughts that distract us.

But it’s not just thoughts that distract us. Notice how physical discomfort often rises up when thoughts begin to quiet down — an ache in the back, an itch, a dull heaviness in the body. It’s as if the mind, sensing its grip loosening, tries to reclaim attention through the body. This is where practice deepens. Over time, you may start to see that mental agitation and physical discomfort are not separate experiences but part of the same restless energy. If you can sit with them without reacting, they begin to lose their edge.
