The Golden Buddha provides a meeting place for the growing number of Buddhists who are looking to live a Buddhist way of life in an amicable environment. Its aim is also to encourage older Buddhists who wish to be part of the project to live in close proximity to the hall.

All events are of course open to all ages.

Characteristics of the Centre:

Unaffiliated to any teacher or tradition, the centre hosts a variety of Buddhist talks and study classes.

History:

The project began in 1998. A property was purchased near South Brent in 2002 and used as a retreat centre until 2008 when it was sold in favour of purchasing the present meeting hall in Totnes. The hall was purchased in May 2011.
